“Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus…” My friends, this is for you :)

Let me begin by singing a song so near and dear to my heart while I was still a baby girl growing up in Jamaica…”Trust in the Lord with all of thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding, in all of thine ways acknoweldge Him and He shall direct thy path.”

Are you and I in a place of complete surrender today, with a heart confident in the plans the Lord has for us and who He is? Let’s see…

Isaiah 26 vs 7 Autumn leaves and path image

The scripture I am studying today is taken from Isaiah 26:7 and it speaks of the path of the righteous. The Lord is referred to as Just, and as such, we can trust He will take us through to the other side, even if we are experiencing the darkest of times in our life. He is able.

When the scripture says “O Just One, you make smooth the path of the righteous.” does that mean everything will come easy and our journey will always be full of sunshine? No! There will be some dark valleys, some roaring thunder, grey scattered clouds instead of the white fluffy ones along the way. However, we must stay focused on the prize and continue to trust in the Lord. (This moment’s breath prayer: Lord, help us to walk this narrow path triumpantly).

As we see in Isaiah 26, Judah at this point in time decided to sing a song of victory. They were determined to keep their mind on Christ for the battles ahead (the battle has already been won!) They know they are a chosen people as we should! I believe it is Joyce Meyer who hints at the fact that at-least half of the battle is in our minds.

If we can trust that the Lord will see us through and that if we wait upon the Lord, soon enough, we will mount up, our strength will be renewed (Isaiah 40:31).

No weapon formed against you will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17) He has a plan and path for you to take in your life. You will win! The Lord has designed you to be an overcomer! He has paid it all and through the grace of the Lord, we are made new. We are formed in His image & destined to be on the winning side. We must remember at all times that storms may come while we are traveling on this smooth path he has paved for us, but follow hard after righteousness. Let’s be a reflection of Him here on earth.

Isaiah is a book of wisdom isn’t it? so much so, you would think it was Proverbs 🙂 So, the whole Bible is filled with marvelous gems that today we can find through the widespread access of The Word. The scriptures take us into the mind and heart of Jesus for His people,  for us and those who have gone before us on a similar path we are now taking. There are still gems yet to be found and understood in its full essense, just as our Lord and God desires for us to know Him. Let’s continue to seek after Him.

Most importantly, let’s guard our mind this day and remember before the battle can be won, we must trust Jesus, be steadfast because “Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace-in peace because they trust is you.” Isaiah 26:3 Are you praying for peace about something? Whether it is about work, home or life in general you can experience God’s sweet  and perfect peace. Since yesterday this scripture has been ringing in my mind because I too was experiencing turmoil, foremost in my mind and it almost spilled over into other facets of my life but I am reminded to trust in Him.

“Trusting Jesus is all that really matters, just believe when you call on His name.”

Full of trust in King Jesus and lots of love for you, Stacy Zant.

A Recollection of this lovely Weekend (2nd Summer Reading Tour has begun & Sponsors/Mentors Connection Lunch)

Image

What a gloriously filled weekend this last weekend in June turned out to be! Well, Hello July!

When I look back on all that the Lord has done and all that He continues to do, not only in my life and my husband’s life but my dear friends, brothers and sisters in Christ all around me, I can truly say we are blessed!

O.k. first thing’s first! I love organizing fellowship opportunities for my sisters and girlies to minister, be ministered to and to connect. Especially now at a time when it is so easy to idle their time away during the holiday season, I am elated this Saturday’s Summer Reading tour program turned out to be a smashing success as we volunteered, toured, ate, read aloud, learned, gathered feedback and spent time with each other. More importantly I desire to pursue my passion, God’s calling on my life and encourage  others to do the same. Most importantly, it is important to me to glorify my maker and I’m not just saying that. Let me explain this a bit further:

Just a bit over a year ago, my husband and I went on what one could call a long sabbatical from the ministry of music. Even though my heart strings and spirit longed to simply do what I was created and did for as long as I could remember, worship, give my all and be completely involved. God had other plans during this time and season of rest. I’m happy I had no other choice. If you read my previous blog posts, you’ll see just what I am talking about.

During this season of rest and being in a form of wilderness, the Lord developed other areas in my life: My prayer life, my educational pursuits in the Word of God, completing my second book, writing and copyrighting songs, building and dedicating time to quality community non-profit programming and last but surely not least, investing in my marriage and family first.

I believe we all should take the time to reflect, revise and renew ourselves in the Lord, no matter how young or old you believe you are, if you are involved in ministry. You can’t keep pouring out without taking the time to recharge and plug into the one true anointed source. I’ve learned we should be doing this daily through prayer. Remember Paul’s admonish to Pray without ceasing? (1Thessalonians 5:17)

I’m not exactly at the place I would have thought my husband and I would be. My husband’s journey and spirit of David continues to encourage me. We are all a working progress, God’s masterpiece in the making and we all have room to grow.

Most recently, we have been discussing and teaching from “Leap Over a Wall” in our church’s Fusion Young Adult Sunday School class at Solid Rock. It’s amazing to see how much we can all relate to David and learn from him. His story speaks to all of us.

Just look at all that David went through even though He was anointed, He had to go through what we would consider a long wilderness season, trials, temptations and triumphs before He was ready for his divine appointment, purpose and role as leader of a nation and king (2 Samuel 5). While He was going through his prior experience, his perspective, reaction and relationship with God determined the caliber of leader and king He would later become. Please note: He was always a leader at heart even though it was discounted from the very beginning by those around him.  I would say it was his struggles and how he stood and overcame in the midst of those struggles that made him one of the most memorable characters and kings in the Bible and I daresay even today!

(Story behind the picture above: We were blessed to fellowship with some amazing young adults from the Pentecostals of Alexandria and some of their sweet staff last Wednesday)

We will continue our adventures in the Word of God this month in Sunday School and beyond with characters from the Bible (I can’t wait, I’m so excited, can you tell?) and this month’s book  reference is Rick Warren’s “The Purpose Driven Life” What On Earth Am I Here For? Do you know your purpose, how did you come to find it? Was it on your knees in prayer or while you were serving in your local assembly, the church or in your home community?

We have a contest taking place this month for those readers who leave a review on Amazon and on Radiant Pearl’s Facebook page. Winning reviews will be featured in upcoming publications and the extended-advanced printed copy of Radiant Pearl in Progress that will be made available in stores by June 2014 as informed by the publisher.  You are a radiant pearl in progress and I am excited to encourage you to acknowledge it and be blessed by that fact that God is still working on you, through you and around you.

Soles to Souls Giveaway!

I have before me at least 7 brand new pairs of Gorgeous Kate Spade soles pictured below and I would love to give away each and everyone of them. Although, I am tempted to keep them all for myself, I am learning the art of Temperance-A much desirable fruit of the spirit, and so in moderation I proceed and will move forward in everything, including the procurement of shoes.

To delve just a little further in the fruit I mentioned above, there are three scriptures of reference I would like to share here before we must part & later meet again: They are hailing from three different marvelous books, but all achieving the same ends in my life right now, the message vivid to me in this season is the importance of “temperance”  What stands out to you as you read these scriptures?

  • 2 Peter 1:6 (Temperance is interchangeable with self-control).
  • Titus 1:8 (Although this is in reference to one of the highest office in the land, it applies to the esteemed office of being a child of God-Temperance here is also to be self-controlled).
  • 1Corinthians 9:25 (If even athletes exercise this fruit of temperance/self-control to win an unperishable prize, how much should we in order to wear an everlasting crown someday. We shall wear a crown some day, Oh to have temperance!)

Heart’s prayer this day: “Lord, as I grow in faith each virtue you have instructed in your Word, help the fruits in my life like temperance, to culminate in love.”

The Potter’s Hand

Hello darling!

I felt led to share this powerful video I came across today with a beautiful brief sermon included.

Let us make it our duty to be at a place where we are moldable, pliable and fit for the master’s use…We cannot afford for issues of this life to hinder us, make us feel bitter or condemned. That is just a plan of the enemy because He knows in our wholeness and surrendering to Christ he has no power, moreover every strong hold is broken and foundations of hell is shaken! Be encouraged through the truth of God’s Word my friend that time in His beautiful presence is the place to be daily so you can be that vessel He pours into to do a new and beautiful work just where He has planted you. He may not do the work you thought in the place and time you imagined but you know what, your mind-set and resolution to serve the Lord no matter what will not be shaken! Because we know He will bring to pass the desires He has laid on your heart in its suitable season and time.

I’ve posted the lyrics and worship video that sums up this marvelous message as it reminds us of a musical prayer to be formed by Jesus and  remain in the potter’s hands:

THE POTTER’S HAND

Beautiful Lord,
Wonderful Savior,
I know for sure
All of my days are
Held in Your hand,
Crafted into Your perfect plan.

You gently call me
Into Your presence,
Guiding me by
Your Holy Spirit.

Teach me dear Lord,
To live all of my life
Through Your eyes.

I’m captured by
Your holy calling,
Set me apart,
I know You’re drawing
Me to Yourself,
Lead me, Lord, I pray.

Take me, mold me,
Use me, fill me.
I give my life
To the Potter’s Hand.

Call me, guide me,
Lead me, walk beside me,
I give my life
To the Potter’s Hand.

You gently call me
Into Your presence,
Guiding me by
Your Holy Spirit.

Teach me dear Lord,
To live all of my life
Through Your eyes.

I’m captured by
Your holy calling.
Set me apart,
I know You’re
Drawing me to Yourself.
Lead me, Lord, I pray!

Take me, mold me,
Use me, fill me.
I give my life
To the Potter’s Hand.

Call me, guide me,
Lead me, walk beside me,
I give my life
To the Potter’s Hand.

Stay there, live there, thrive there…
Lovingly & prayerfully,
Stacy Zant 🙂

Spring is Here! Easter Giveaway, poll and more! :)

Hi Radiant Readers!

It’s the first day of Spring and I am so excited about all that the Lord is going to do in our lives this new season! In the last post I highlighted a very important scripture addressing how the Lord makes everything beautiful in its time. In God’s suitable time we will become all He has destined for us to become, until then we must continue to strive, reach, learn and progress.

In the vein of reaching and further connecting with readers this new marvelous season, I’d like to take a poll and hear from you my dear community of online friends.

*First things first, Do you have a prize preference for this and future giveaways? See poll below (“Becoming Jane” Movie, Inspirational Book, Brand New Journal or clothing like the jacket in this picture)
*What would compel you to keep coming back to this blog?
*Do you have any particular interests that you would like to see discussed on these pages?

So looking forward to hearing from you!
Lots of Love & prayers,
Stacy Zant 🙂
